Collegiate summer baseball: 2024 Season

For the Summer of 2024, we will have workouts the weekends of: May 24-25 and June 1-2. Our best 24 players: 11 Pitchers, 2 Catchers, 3 Corner Infielders, 3 Middle Infielders, 4 Outfielders, and 1 Utility Player (who can catch) will be on our BLUE TEAM roster. This team will be in the highly competitive Pro-AM Collegiate League, one of the top leagues on the west coast.
We place a premium on pitching, defense and speed. We prefer players who have high on base percentage, low strike-out rate, put the ball in play, move runners over, etc. Our pitchers are encouraged to work ahead, work down, and pitch to soft contact. Players must be fully committed and are required to patriciate in 90% of tall scheduled games. Player may be dropped if commitment is unacceptable to team standards. The remaining players will be placed on the other competitive collegiate team, the Gold Team, and will automatically be on our Pro-AM waiting list. This Gold Team will play in the newly formed and highly competitive PCCL. All Players must be registered and pre-paid ($850) for our 2024 East LA Dodgers Summer Season before the workouts. The price for Pitchers Only is $700. Players eligible for the Summer Wood Bat Collegiate Season: Only those players on a College Baseball Roster will be eligible to play in our Summer Collegiate Program. Because we are in very competitive leagues, it is imperative that our rosters are composed of active college players. Players who graduated in 2024 are eligible to be on this team. 2024 Red Shirts are OK. Players who are not on a college roster may still sign up for our program but will be placed in a less competitive situation. Graduating High School Seniors who play Varsity Baseball are also eligible to play in our program. The Season will begin Memorial Weekend at the end of May and conclude until end of July. If we quality for the post-season, playoffs will begin the last weekend of July. |

We have been invited to represent California at the CABA World Series in Lubbock, Texas in July 2024, 18u and 16u.
The price for the elite team is $650 per player for the season, September 2 - December 16.
This is strictly a wood bat tournament.
We place a premium on pitching, defense, and speed. We prefer players who have high on base percentage, low strikeouts rate, put the ball in play, move runners over, etc. Our pitchers have the obligation to work ahead, work down, and pitch to soft contact. We have been invited to represent California at the CABA World Series in Lubbock, Texas in July 2024, 18u and 16u. In addition, we will be attempting to participate in the Babe Ruth, Palomino, Connie Mack, and American Legion Playoffs and World Series in the Summer of 2024.
The price for this elite team is $650 per player for the season, September 2 - December 16.
This is strictly a wood bat situation.

We will only play on Weekends; Collegiate Team plays on Saturday at Cantwell-Sacred Heart High School in Montebello. High School plays on Sundays at St. Pius Matthias Academy in Downey.

The East L.A. Dodgers Collegiate Team (Blue) are members of the Best of the West League, one of the strongest leagues on the West Coast. The East L.A. Dodgers (Grey) are members of the Sunset League, one of the strongest leagues in California. We won the Sunset League in 2021. The East L.A. Dodgers (Gold) are members of the LABA League, a local competitive collegiate league.
Our collegiate wood bat team is built on pitching, defense, speed and high on base percentage. Because of the wood bat regulations, the power game is minimal. Therefore we like to put the runners in motion, take the extra base, bunt, etc. Offensive execution is a key to our success.
Our rosters on each team will consist of 10 pitchers, 2 catchers, 3 corner infielders, 3 middle infielders, 4 outfielders and 1 utility player who can also catch.
Our tryouts for these collegiate teams will take place the last 3 weekends in May. Interested competitive collegiate players should contact Coach Leo via email: [email protected]
