Dodgers 2007 Winter League Baseball
The East L.A. Dodgers NBC Team (College-Age Players) will be participating in a Winter League during the 2007 Fall. This League will begin right after Labor Day Weekend, and continue until January 1, 2008.
This is a wood bat league, played entirely on weekends. The league we will be playing in is called the SPLB League (Semi-Pro League Baseball), made up primarily of current and ex-college baseball players. Because this is a very competitive league, only serious players need apply.
The fee to play on our team is $100.00. This covers all of the games, and will pay for the umpires, baseballs, water and ice at each game, use of the team jerseys, and other expenses, including team insurance.
Each player will need to provide the following:
1) Gray Pants 2) Pro-Style L.A. Dodger Hat (Blue) 3) Royal Blue Socks and Belt 4) Black Cleats 5) Wood Bats

2007 Winter league results
Sunday, September 2 The East LA Dodgers opened their 2007 winter league with an 8-8 tie vs. Norwalk Scouts at Holifield Park in Norwalk. Centerfielder Andy Locke went 3-4 with a stolen base and 2 runs scored. Newcomer, Corey Poulen, had 2 hits with 1 RBI and 2 runs scored. Jesse Arciniega pitched 3 innings and allowed 1 unearned run.
Sunday, September 9
The East LA Dodgers defeated the Compton Reds 6-5 at Holifield Park in Norwalk. RHP, Jesse Arciniega pitched three innings of one hit ball. Outfielder Ben Gass had two hits and scored the winning run in the top of the 9th inning. Second baseman Corey Poulen had the game winning RBI with a Sacrifice fly.
Sunday, September 16
The East LA Dodgers put on a hitting display, as the defeated the Norwalk Scouts, 15-5. Dustin Warren went 3-5, with a grandslam and 6 runs batted in. Brandon Spicer ahd 2 hits, run and 3 runs batted in. Pitcher Randy Serrato pitched 3 innings of 2 hit ball, and also went 3-4 at the plate. Newcomer, Josh Furlong of Long Beach City College pitched 2 scoreless innings in relief.
Sunday, September 24
The East LA Dodgers improved their record to 4-0 in winter league play with a 4-3 come from behind win over the Newport storm. Starting pitcher Juan Garcia struck out 9 in 4 innings of work allowing one hit and one unearned run. Isaac Morales struck out 4 in two innings. Max Moya had the key hit in the 4 run 8th inning, with a bases loaded double to score two runs. RHP Josh Furlong got the win by pitching the last three innings.
Sunday, September 30
The East LA Dodgers suffered their first defeat of the winter, 9-8, on a two run home run of the bottom of the 9th by James Longoria, of the Norwalk Scouts. RHP Javier Garcia suffered the loss. Ramsey Ochoa and Justin Cervantes each hit two run home runs for the East LA Dodgers, and Lester Salcedo went 3-4 in a losing cause.
